For the first time in Iraq, an agreement has been signed for the construction of a chemical plant in the oil and gas sector in Samawah province. This contract has been concluded between “Nobel Energy” from the United Arab Emirates and the Samawah Chemical Plant.
The agreement covers all phases of engineering design, construction, installation, commissioning, and production of essential chemical materials required for Iraq’s oil, gas, and drilling industries. Upon completion, the project is expected to meet approximately 90% of Iraq’s domestic demand for oil and gas chemical products.
The initial phase of the project involves an investment of 45 million USD, marking a strategic step towards the development of Iraq’s oil and gas industry and reducing the country’s dependency on imported chemical materials.
