MAGIC-THIN is a polymeric thinner/deflocculant with exceptional tolerance to high temperature, divalent cations, pH fluctuations, and salinity. It is a synthetic polymeric product with high resistance to bacterial degradation. MAGIC-THIN does not contain chrome or other heavy metals and does not require elevated pH to be activated thus can be used in low-pH drilling fluid systems

Helps stabilize the rheological properties of the system at high temperatures
Reduces viscosity and gel strength at high temperature conditions, consequently saving unnecessary chemical costs by cutting down the need for additional dilution
Improves filter cake quality by reducing its thickness, permeability and the risk of differential sticking

Recommended Treatment and Method of use
Normal treatment dose is 0.5-2.0 lb/bbl. The treatment required will depend on the total solid content of the mud, total hardness level, and bottom-hole temperature. Although MAGIC-THIN is tolerant of divalent cations (i.e., Ca++, Mg++), high concentrations (>500 mg/L) of these ions will require increased treatment levels. High total solid mud systems will also require increased treatment levels.
Packaging
Packaged in 25 litre cans and 200 litre drums. Custom packaging is available on request.

MAGIC-THIN exhibits a low order of toxicity. However, precautions should be taken to avoid inhalation, ingestion, or contact with skin or eyes.
