Product Description
MAGIC-SLIDE is SFK’s proprietary environmentally friendly vegetable oil based Lubricant used reduce torque and drag in water-based drilling fluids. MAGIC-SLIDE readily absorbs on exposed surfaces to help provide a chemical film that can effectively reduce metal-to-metal friction. MAGIC-SLIDE lubricant helps reduce the wear on metal parts, helps reduce torque in high angle or horizontal drilling applications and can provide lubrication when higher than normal weight on bit and drill pipe rotational speeds occur. MAGIC-SLIDE lubricant is stable to 425°F (218°C). MAGIC-SLIDE is tolerant to high calcium or other divelent ion concentration. Performance of MAGIC-SLIDE is not affected by high pH.

Reduces torque and drag by significantly reducing the coefficient of friction

Helps reduce corrosion by coating metal surfaces with a hydrophobic film

Recommended Treatment and Method of use
Optimum concentration is 2.5 – 4% V/V.
Systems should be treated with minimum 2.5% initially, and the concentrations should be maintained through the interval where the torque is expected.
Packaging
MAGIC SLIDE is packaged in 25ltr cans or 208ltr (55 gal) drums. Custom packaging is available on request.
