Product Description
MAGIC-SHINE is an aqueous blend of surface-active agents used to reduce surface tension of all water-based mud types. MAGIC-SHINE is very effective for reducing sticking tendency of reactive shale cutting with each other as well as Bit and BHA parts, thereby preventing the formation of mud rings, bit balling and helps optimizing cuttings return to the surface without sticking on the shale shaker screens. MAGIC-SHINE also emulsifies oil in water in case of an increase in viscosity and gelation due to contamination of oil in water based mud systems. MAGIC-SHINE is particularly effective in top hole drilling where a lot of reactive clay cutting is generated and chock flow channels and other surface equipment. It also eliminates changes of tight spot due to the formation of mud rings up in annulus.

Helps increase the rate of penetration (ROP) by improving bit cleaning and the release of cuttings from the bit surface

Recommended Treatment and Method of Use
Normal treatments range from 0.2 to 0.5 lb/bbl to achieve optimum results. However, while drilling highly sticky water sensitive formations like clay/shale, the concentration should be around 4 to 6 lb/bbl to prevent bit balling and/or sticking of cuttings on the shakers and BHA.
Packaging
Packaged in 25 litre cans and 200 litre drums. Custom packaging is available on request.

This product may irritate eyes and skin upon contact and proper PPE must be used to avoid any form of contact with skin and eyes.
Note
This product may produce foam in excessive treatment. Defoamer treatment is recommended in case of foaming.
