Product Description
MAG-CIDE SUPER is Glutaraldehyde based biocide suitable for use in water based muds and packer fluids compatible with low salinity brine fluids. It is a broad-spectrum biocide inhibiting the growth of algae, bacteria, moulds, yeasts and various types of fungi that is biodegradable in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. MAG-CIDE SUPER is concentrate product and effective at very low concentration.
Application/Function
Prevents the growth of various types of bacteria, especially sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB), yeast and algae.
Protects the polymers used in fluids.
Helps prevent corrosion caused by microorganisms
Typical applications include packer fluids, seawater based muds and other low salinity fluids

Recommended Treatment and Method of use
Typical application: 1 – 3 gall /100 bbl (0.024 – 0.072 % v/v) with weekly treatments of 0.04% v/v thereafter.
Packaging
MAG-CIDE is packaged in 200-litre drum and 25 litre cans. Custom packaging is available on request.
