Product Description
MAG-CIDE is a specially synthesized, low-toxicity, environment friendly biocide suitable for use in water based muds and packer fluids compatible with low salinity brine fluids. It is a broad-spectrum biocide inhibiting the growth of algae, bacteria, moulds, yeasts and various types of fungi that is biodegradable in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. MAG-CIDE displays no surface activity and will not cause skin sensitization or allergic dermatitis. Hence, it is consequently safer to use relative to other commercial biocides. It is most suitable in areas with stringent environmental regulations.
Application/Function
Prevents the growth of various types of bacteria, especially sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB), yeast and algae.

Recommended Treatment and Method of use
Typical application: 1 – 3 gall /100 bbl (0.024 – 0.072 % v/v) with weekly treatments of 0.04% v/v thereafter.
Packaging
MAG-CIDE is packaged in 200-litre drum and 25 litre cans. Custom packaging is available on request.
Health & Safety
MAG-CIDE exhibits low level of toxicity, however precautions must be taken to avoid inhalation, ingestion, or contact with skin or eyes.
