FOAM SHIELD A is an alcohol based defoaming agent. Foam is always problematic in drilling and completion operations as it creates many problems like inaccurate measurements of density of fluids, volume measurement difficulties in tanks, corrosion due to entrained air, rheological or viscosity increment problems and many others. EURODEFOAM AL is highly effective in destabilizing and eliminating the foam structure and prevents the further generation of foam in system.
Application/Function
Helps eliminate the existing foaming problem in the system and prevents further foaming.
Helps control corrosion by reducing the amount of entrained air and/or dissolved oxygen.

Recommended Treatment and Method of use
Normal treatments range from 0.1-0.2 lb/bbl for the prior prevention of foaming if surfactants or surface active materials are to be added. To suppress the existing foam, the required amount can be added directly to the tanks or at flow line. Under certain/specific conditions higher concentrations may be required.
Packaging
Packaged in 25 litre cans and 200 litre drums. Custom packaging is available on request.
